It’s almost time for another school year! Although I’ve been on the other side of the classroom (at the lectern rather than in the seats) for a long time, I still get excited at the start of each new school year and the sense of possibility, the prospect of new acquaintances, and the chance at fresh starts. This year, I hope we can all share that feeling because there is so much to look forward to in the BIG Difference community over the next nine months! In my role as Research Director for UBC Decision Insights for Business & Society (UBC-DIBS), I’m eager to share some of what we have planned for the year ahead.

UBC-DIBS Case Studies: Certificate Student Capstone Projects

UBC’s Decision Insights for Business & Society (UBC-DIBS) is extremely proud to share snapshots of three capstone projects from the pilot cohort of the Advanced Professional Certificate in Behavioural Insights. These projects used Behavioural Insights to try to reduce illegal parking, increase hearing attendance, and encourage social workers to collaborate with families.

To meet the increasing demand for behavioural insights knowledge and skills, BC Behavioural Insights Group (BC BIG) partnered with UBC Sauder School of Business’ Decision Insights for Business & Society (DIBS) and worked with a nationwide standards council to develop UBC Sauder's Advanced Professional Certificate in Behavioural Insights.
