Learn More About Behavioural Insights
There are many opportunities to hone your Behavioural Insights (BI) knowledge and skills:
UBC’s BI wiki is a free online resource with tips for how to use BI, recommended reads/listens, a podcast, and a regular newsfeed of case studies, events, job postings, and more.
UBC’s Fundamentals of Behavioural Insights introductory course provides an introduction to BI and teaches you how to use a BI lens to approach problems. This 3-week live online course is offered multiple times per year.
UBC’s Advanced Professional Certificate in Behavioural Insights program provides rigorous, in-depth BI practitioner training through a combination of live online coursework and a capstone project. Over the course of 9 months, you will learn how to use BI to create positive behaviour change with behaviourally-informed, evidence-based policies, products, and processes. The program runs from September to May each year; the early application deadline is May 31 and the late deadline is June 30.
The BIG Difference BC Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship toward UBC’s Advanced Professional Certificate in Behavioural Insights for a public or non-profit sector working professional in British Columbia. To make access to BI more equitable, priority is given to applicants who identify as IBPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ persons with disability, and/or women; applications are due by July 15.
BC Public Servants can also participate in a range of sessions offered by the BC Behavioural Insights Group. Visit the BCPS Learning Centre or email BC BIG for more.
